Common Candle Mistakes:

Not getting the best burn?

These Mistakes might be why.

Leaving the candle in a drafty area. Drafts can cause candle to burn enevenly and start to soot.

Avoid burning your candle for too short a time.

Avoid burning your candle for too short a time. As this can cause tunneling. Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container, but never burn for more than 4hours at a time.

Place your candle on a stable heat resistant surface, away from drafts and anything flammable. And never leave unattended.

Keep out of reach of children and pets

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the flame completely before leaving the room or going to sleep.

"Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains. Failure to do so may cause the container to overheat and become a fire hazard."

NOT TRIMMING THE WICK

Wicks ALWAYS need to be trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn to prevent sooting and tunneling.
