Your Love & Faye candle was made to create beautiful moments—warm fragrance, a soft glow, and a little time to slow down and enjoy your space. A little care goes a long way in helping your candle burn beautifully from the first light to the very last.
Candle Care Tips
!. Make the First Burn Count
The first burn sets the foundation for every burn that follows. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface of the candle, reaching the edges of the vessel before extinguishing it. This helps prevent tunneling and encourages a beautiful, even burn throughout the life of your candle.
As a general guide, allow approximately one hour of burn time for every inch of the candle's diameter, without exceeding the recommended maximum burn time.
2. Trim for a Beautiful Burn
Before every burn, trim your wick to approximately ¼ inch.
A properly trimmed wick helps maintain a calm, steady flame while reducing excess smoke and soot. If the wick becomes too long or develops a mushroom shape, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool completely, trim the wick, and relight.
3. Give Your Candle a Rest
As tempting as it may be to keep the fragrance going, avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Extended burning can cause the vessel to become too hot and may create an oversized flame or mushrooming wick. Allow your candle to cool completely before lighting it again.
4. Keep the Wax Clean
A clean candle is a happy candle. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, dust, and other debris. This helps your candle burn cleanly and safely.

Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended
A beautiful candle should always be enjoyed responsibly. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and always extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Choose the Perfect Spot
Always place your candle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, paper, fabrics, furniture, and anything else that could catch fire.
Keep Away from Children & Pets
Keep burning candles safely out of reach of children and pets—and away from curious little hands, paws, and wagging tails.
Keep It Draft-Free
Avoid placing your candle near open windows, fans, air vents, or other drafty areas. Drafts can cause uneven burning, excessive flickering, and soot.
Extinguish with Care
Use a candle snuffer when possible, or gently blow out the flame. Never use water to extinguish your candle, as water can cause hot wax to splatter and may damage the vessel.
Know When to Say Goodbye
Stop burning your candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Continuing to burn the candle beyond this point may cause the vessel to overheat.
A Beautiful Second Life
When the final flame has flickered, your Love & Faye vessel can begin a beautiful second chapter.
Once all remaining wax and wick components have been completely removed and the vessel has been thoroughly cleaned, repurpose it as a drinking glass or give it new life as a stylish holder for pens, makeup brushes, small keepsakes, or even a tiny plant. Beautiful while it burns. Beautiful long after.
