THESE MISTAKES MIGHT BE WHY.

• Not trimming the wick. Wicks ALWAYS need to be trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn to prevent sooting and tunneling.

• Avoid burning your candle for too short a time. As this can cause tunneling.  Allow the wax to melt completely to the edge of the container, but never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

• Leaving the candle in a drafty area.  Drafts can cause candles to burn unevenly and start to soot.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.  Never leave a burning candle unattended.  Always extinguish the flame completely before leaving the room or going to sleep.
